It appears that the turnaround time for the toy industry is even longer than our beloved Movie Industry. But today we received news that the Adams Radial is soon to hit the shelves, hopefully bringing joy to thousands of enthusiasts, young and old.

With only one radial in existence, getting it right is the only option, because trust me… if you thought movie goers were picky, you have not yet experienced the unbridled passions of a die hard Model Railway enthusiast. Just one wrongly placed rivet, and your suddenly in uncharted territory. The enthusiast will always take a manufacturer to  task over even the smallest discrepancy. Which is why we are so happy that Hornby continue to use us in their quest for scaled perfection.

I’ve spent quite a lot of time these past 12 months on various preserved railways, scanning for film (our core client base), and of course model railway brands. The noise of one of our scanners cutting through the otherwise tranquil sound of some back water steam railway always makes me smile, because I know its the first (and very important) step in a process that will see the data finally manifest itself as a fully functioning, superbly engineered model that I know many enthusiasts have been requesting for years…
