Wow… This film was by far, our biggest to date.
With a VFX unit in Italy, London, South Africa and South Korea, there is not a single frame of this film Motion Associates didn’t scan.
As always, Charlie Woods has designed a fantastic film, and all his sets are just a sheer joy to capture. But the highlight of the show was the Avengers Tower set. Built on H Stage at Shepperton (home to Star Wars Rebel Hangar, throne room and where Christopher Reeve tested the flying rig for Superman The Movie), this set was just a huge high tech monument, made of glass, chrome and very shiny wood flooring.
Other highlights were the forest chase (Bourne Woods in the UK) that segued seamlessly into the footage shot in Italy (Fort Bard) and Hendon’s now defunct Police Training centre that was used for the Sokavia town build.
Looking back at the shows reports, you can see exactly why we were chosen to provide the Lidar. The stats are mind boggling.
Motion Associates Scanned a total of 124 sets and locations and a staggering 193 vehicles, ranging from small mini cars to huge military tanks. And of course, all this data was captured, processed and delivered.
