MARVEL
"There's one other name you might know me by... Star Lord"
With a relationship that started in 2010, with Captain America: The First Avenger, we have now serviced quite a few Marvel Projects including Captain America, Thor II: Dark World, Guardians Of The Galaxy, Avengers II: Age Of Ultron, Doctor Strange and Thor III: Ragnorok.
Marvel shows are as spectacular to work on as they are to watch. The set builds are incredible, and an absolute joy to scan. The level of detail is astounding. And we pride our selves each and every time we are invited back.
We believe the VFX build for the vendors actually begins from the moment we initiate the first scan, in the first scan position. And no matter how challenging the environment is to scan, we hit it hard.
Having a Marvel show on our slate is both a joy and an honor

The Force is strong...
I made a promise to myself as an 8 year old in 1978, when I realised that Star Wars was actually a job, that actual people ACTUALLY went to work to do. As a kid this blew my mind. As an adult, walking on set was just as mind blowing. Containing my inner 8 year old was challenging!
When the call finally came in to do some scanning for Rogue one, we were ready. With the film yet to be released, there is nothing that I can say, other than how much of a pleasure and honour it was for myself and the team to be transported to a Galaxy far far away on a daily basis.

Walt Disney
"Be our guest...be our guest..."
My first film with Disney was as a Muppeteer in 1992 on The Muppet Christmas Carol. But from a VFX standpoint, Disney’s John Carpenter Of Mars. Whilst not my first film as a VFX artist, this was my first mission with a Laser Scanner. Working with DNEG, I set about to readdress the Lidar workflow and pipeline for VFX, with a view to increasing the quality, whilst expediting delivery.
Having left Soho, my relationship with Disney has continued to grow, through a surprise return to the Muppets (again), Into The Woods, Alice 2, Beauty and the Beast & Nutcracker and the four realms.
As Im sure you can imagine, the set builds on a Disney show are nothing short of spectacular. And we continue to strive for perfection in our scanning to preserve the awesome quality of the set designers vision, into a digital realm, ready for post production.
